Former Mercury editor to appear on TV
A former Mercury editor is to appear on television talking about a secret underground RAF bunker.
Gerry Kreibich, of Matlock Bath, will appear on Channel Four’s Restoration Man on February 12 at 8pm.
Gerry worked at the bunker near Nottingham during his National Service in the 1950s. He was editor of the Matlock Mercury for three years during the 1960s.
He said: “It was a strange feeling to be down there again after 60 years.”
