Chesterfield Football Club say they are ‘saddened’ today to hear of the death of life president and former chairman Barrie Hubbard.

Hubbard, who was 76 and had been battling illness, had a 32-year involvement with the football club and stepped down as chairman in 2012, after the club had moved to the Proact Stadium.

The club say their thoughts are with Barrie’s family at this difficult time.
