First art exhibition draws the crowds

Visitors flocked to see the first exhibition by a collective of artists and craftspeople.

More than 300 people were drawn to the exhbition at the town’s Oaks Community Centre, featuring the work of the arts@S18 group.

Exhibiting their creations were John Sutcliffe, Gerry Marlow, Jolly Crafters, John Arrowsmith, Maureen Greenland, Carole Slinn, Lynne Wilkinson, Lin Cheung, Cleo Swift, Graham Reed, Philip Offer, Rosland Timperley, Carole King and the Lost Art Group.

Several of the exhibitors commented that the exhibition was a success and that they looked forward to this event becoming a regular feature in the Dronfield calendar.
