THE CONSTRUCTION of Squadron Medical’s new 41,000sq ft Design and Build facility at Henry Boot Development’s Markham Vale business site is complete.

The facility at the site off Junction 29A of the M1 Motorway, near Bolsover, will be the medical supplies distributor’s national distribution centre and headquarters.

Ben Ward, of Henry Boot Developments, said: “This is another great success story for Markham Vale and Squadron Medical’s presence on the site will be a real credit to the scheme.”

The facility has already achieved top ratings and accreditation as a very efficient building.

Squadron Medical operated from three smaller units in Staveley and Chesterfield but realised their need for expansion so took advantage of Henry Boot Developments’ “Try Before You Buy Scheme” allowing them to have a short term lease at the site’s Waterloo Court whilst their new facility was being built.

The bespoke facility, which includes 9,000sq ft of offices, has taken just 26 weeks to construct and features a full height glazed reception area and a fully fitted state of the art warehouse.
