Firefighters tackle Brassington house fire

Crews from two fire stations were called to a house fire this week.

Firefighters from Matlock and Ashbourne attended the fire in Church Street, Brassington, at 9.04am on today (Tuesday, April 1).

The blaze was located in the single storey extension of a three-bedroom detached house

On arrival they found the extension was heavily smoke logged.

Two firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze, which was out by 9.48am.

The crews stayed behind after the fire was out to ventilate the property and left at about 10.15am.
