Firefighters rescue crash casualties

SIX people were taken to hospital after a collision between a car and a people carrier.

The collision happened on the B6054, at Owler Bar, in Derbyshire, about 5.40pm, on Friday, November 4.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “There people were trapped and hydraulic cutting equipment and a spine board were used to help rescue casualties.

“By the end of the incident six people had to be conveyed to hospital by ambulance.”

Chesterfield and Dronfield firefighters and police attended the incident and the area was made safe within an hour-and-a-half.
