Two fire engines are on the way to a chimney fire in a Derbyshire village.

The two engines left the Chesterfield dispatch depot at about 10.15am on their way to the High Peak.

The incident is taking place on New Road in Buxworth, which is in between Chinley and Furness Vale.

One of the two appliances included a ‘cherry picker’ which the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service say will enable the firefighters to tackle the blaze from above on arrival.

More information on the incident will follow as and when we get it.
