High Peak residents have just under two months to have their say on controversial plans to close fire stations across the borough.
Proposals currently being consulted on by Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service would see the number of stations across the county reduced from 31 to 20.
Stations at New Mills, Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith would be replaced with a merged station at Furness Vale, while a new merged station at Bamford would replace those at Bradwell and Hathersage. Buxton fire station would also be relocated, possibly to a site on Fairfield Common.
A consultation event is taking place at The Springs, Buxton, on November 22 from 9am to 3pm. Read the consultation document, or have your say, at www.derbys-fire.gov.uk.
