Film-maker Frank Kirton soared to success after a film about the birth of a dragonfly earned him a trophy.

Frank, a new member of Chesterfield Film Makers, scooped the award in the club’s natural history competition.

His film was called Metamorphosis and filmed over many hours, using time lapse.

Frank was presented with his trophy by Colin Guest, vice-chairman, at the club’s meeting in Walton Village Centre.

Chesterfield Film Makers meet in the centre on Walton Back Lane every Tuesday.
