STREET entertainment, kids’ activities, prizes and a range of stalls were on offer at a series of festive-themed market events designed to boost the NE Derbyshire economy.

Antonia Spicer-Mann, 5, is seen here with entertainers at the Clay Cross market.

There have also been similar events in Killamarsh and Eckington market.

The events are the latest family fun days organised as part of NE Derbyshire District Council’s ‘Marketing the Markets’ campaign.

The project is funded by the Bolsover and NE Derbyshire Leader Approach, with support from Clay Cross Parish Council, Eckington Parish Council, Killamarsh Community Trust Association and Dronfield Town Council, which manage the markets in their towns.

It is also in support of the council’s Buy Local campaign, which has been launched in partnership with the Derbyshire Times to urge shoppers to spend on their doorstep.
