FESTIVE music conductor Keith Roe has a special reason to sing out this year when charities are boosted to the tune of £100,000.
Keith has led A Christmas Musical Cavalcade – a programme of seasonal and show tunes at Sheffield City Hall – since 1985 after forming the Fellowship Theatre Company.
And at this year’s event, his goal of collecting cash for good causes looks set to be reached.
Keith said: “This year is very special for me since the money raised should see the Fellowship Theatre Company reach £100,000, the target I set back in 1985. ”
Music in the cavalcade spans hits and favourites from The Abbeydale Singers, Fellowship Choir and Fellowship Concert Orchestra plus soloists.
Money raised benefited a variety of good causes over the years and this year will support Sheffield Hospitals Trust’s own Heart Research Programme. The cavalcade is at 2pm and 7.15pm on Sunday. For tickets, priced between £6 and £15, call 01142 789 789.
