Farmers get advice on staying healthy

A farming institution has issued advice to keep farmers fit as a fiddle.

The Farming Life Centre, based in Blackwell, has teamed up with the Yorkshire Agricultural Society to produce a revised edition of Fit for Farming.

The publication is a glossy A5 Haynes Manual full of useful information and tips to help Farmers stay healthy.

It has been put together with the support of a number of farming charities, rural support networks, the Men’s Health Forum and the Health and Safety Executive.

Sarah Helliwell, Chairman of the Farming Life Centre Trustees said: “Fit for Farming is like any Haynes manual for a vehicle – it’s designed to be a straight–forward and accessible tool for maintaining health and points farmers in the right direction for help and support.”
