Fans head down South for JPT final

A MASS exodus of Chesterfield folk is underway as almost 17,000 Spireites make their way to Wembley for the biggest match in the team’s recent history.

Hundreds of cars and fifty coaches loaded with eager fans departed the town this morning ready for today’s clash with Swindon in the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Swindon will have a job on their hands to beat the dedication of Chesterfield’s supporters, who have been flocking to merchandise stalls in the town centre to buy everything in blue and white in the run up to the match.

If you are travelling down the M1, don’t forget to keep a lookout for Richard Markham’s customised Spireites VW campervan, and remember to send your photos of the excitement of the journey straight from your mobile phones to ellie.hunter@derbyshiretimes.co.uk

All photos will be uploaded to this website as they come in. Keep checking back for video, pictures, and up to date coverage of the match.
