A family-of-four and their dog were rescued after they went ‘missing’ in the Peak District for seven hours.
The two adults and two children had been walking on Kinder Scout – a 2,000ft high, windswept area within the Dark Peak - on Easter Sunday.
The family was found by a search dog team at 3am – seven hours after calling for help.
However the family had no physical injuries, they were cold and wet but otherwise well. More than 80 mountain rescuers were involved in the hunt.
