IT was a week-long celebration in Eyam this week, as the annual carnival returned to the village.
The streets were garlanded with bunting and smiling faces were all around during the festivities, that included well dressing, fancy dress and a traditional sheep roast.
Amongst those in fancy dress at the carnival were these happy revellers pictured, who went all out to celebrate the occasion.
Rounding off the celebrations – which ran from August 27 to September 3 – was a plague memorial service, remembering the village inhabitants who selflessly quarantined themselves after contracting the deadly disease in the 17th Century.
