Explosion sparks emergency call out

AN AMBULANCE was called out after a casualty suffered facial burns following an explosion.

Derbyshire fire service told how the ambulance was alerted after an aerosol was thrown on to an open fire which caused an explosion.

The incident happened on New Road, Crich, about 3pm, on Sunday, and Crich and Alfreton firefighters and an ambulance were called out.

Crews made the area safe within about 20 minutes and confirmed a casualty had suffered facial burns.
