DERBYSHIRE County Council has arranged two events to celebrate Compost Awareness Week.
The events will raise awareness of the benefits of putting uncooked kitchen and garden waste to good use.
By putting less rubbish in the dustbin, residents can help to reduce landfill, protect the environment and preserve precious resources.
Events have been arranged on:
Monday May 7: 1pm to 4.30pm, at the Whitwell Community Centre;
Wednesday May9: 9am to 3pm, at Tesco in Clay Cross.
Compost Awareness Week runs from Sunday May 6 to Saturday May 12.
