WARNING: Ice and snow to hit Derbyshire overnight

The Met Office has issued a ‘yellow’ weather warning for ice and snow across Derbyshire tonight.

A combination of wintry showers and clear skies will allow ice to form on surfaces across the region.

Also, on higher grounds in the county, some accumulations of snow are likely.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Please be aware of the potential for difficult driving conditions and some disruption.”

The warning is valid from 6pm tonight, February 2, until 10am tomorrow morning.
