The search is on for Chesterfield’s most beautiful beaming babies as Derbyshire Times launches its annual Cute Kids competition.
The free to enter photo competition is taking place in the Market Hall, Chesterfield, from today until Saturday between 10am and 4pm each day. The competition is open to children from newborn babies up to the age of five.
This year there will not be age categories but once you have entered your child into the competition they will appear in one of our supplements beginning on September 25 where you will be able to vote for your favourite to keep him or her in the contest.
Based on the number of votes received, entrants will then be whittled down to a top 20 and top ten until finally the cutest kid will be chosen and announced.
Last year saw James Church celebrate his first birthday with a bang after being named Derbyshire Times Cute Kid 2013.
James smiled his way to victory despite facing hundreds of tough competitors.
His proud mum, Angela, said: “I couldn’t believe it when he won.
“We are delighted.
“We entered his brother in to the competition when he was a baby and we thought it was only fair to enter James too.
“And then we got a call to say he was the winner. I was shocked.
“I would say he is completely gorgeous, but I think I am biased.”
The pint- sized tot, of Loundsley Green, was named the winner following a series of heats, in which you – the readers – were invited to vote for the cutest kids.
James won a cash prize and a host of vouchers .
Do you think your kid is as cute as James? If so enter today!
