Emmerdale and Hollyoaks celebs head to Chesterfield for charity match at the Proact

Clowne-based woman Karen Child, who won £8.4 million on the National Lottery in 2007, is forming her own charity called The Child Foundation.

The charity will help children and their families with varying illnesses and unfortunate life circumstances.

Also a sponsor of Chesterfield Football Club and a Director & Shareholder of Sheffield Sharks Professional Team, Karen has decided to hold the first fundraising event at the Proact Stadium.

A team of celebrities will take on a Chesterfield Legends side which includes the likes of Jack Lester, Bob Newton, Dave Waller, Steve Norris, Steve Baines and Shane Nicholson - to name just a few.

The celebrity side will consist of actors from the likes of Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

The date of the game is on Sunday, June 1, with kick-off is 4pm.
