Electric fault causes house fire in South Normanton

The fire broke out on Hamlet Lane and crews from Alfreton and Ashfield attended the call-out on Saturday, February 25 at 2.30pm.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: “Crews used two breathing apparatus, one safety jet and carbon dioxide to put the electric fire out.
They left the scene 45 minutes later at 3.15pm.
