Three-way exchange

A new kind of partnership has found life as a three way school-exchange enjoyed its debut.

Back in 2007 Dreieichschule, in Long Eaton’s twin town of Langen, began a pupil exchange with Trent College.

However, enthusiasm in Germany for the project proved so great that an additional partner school in the area was sought.

Peter Monk, headteacher of Friesland school, was very keen to get involved and as a result Trent College and Friesland school welcomed a party of 31 German students.

The visit included a reception at Long Eaton town hall, joint trips to Chatsworth House and Alton Towers, as well as time experiencing a normal school day and a performing arts and media project day at Friesland school.
