Youlgrave All Saints’ C of E Primary School held a Cream Tea Concert to celebrate 200 years of Church of England Schools.
The playground was decorated with red, white and blue bunting, tables were covered with red, white and blue cloths and the whole community was invited to share the talents of the school.
An afternoon of pupil performance was given while the School Association served cream teas and held a raffle.
There was a variety of talent on show including dancing, pianists, violinists, brass musicians, guitarists, singers, recorder groups and poetry recitals.
Mrs. Jackson, headteacher, said: “We had a wonderfully sunny afternoon with lots of visitors. The children were incredible and showed off their talents brilliantly, we are a ‘small school with big ideas’.
The school was raising funds for schools in India supported by The Diocese of Derby.
Class 2 and 3 attended a joint celebration, called Sing 200, at Tideswell’s Cathedral of the Peak at which they presented their donations.
