Children at Brockwell Nursery and Infant School are pictured here in the party mood for a celebration the Queen’s 90th birthday party.
And they were not alone - they were joined by new Chesterfield mayor Steve Brunt and mayoress Jill Manion-Brunt.
Mayor Brunt joined in the party games and even entertained the children with a hula hoop performance.
Headteacher Catherine Harris said: “We just wanted to do something fun - the children absolutely loved it.
“They all made prince and princess crowns and had a tea party with cakes.
“We also played games just like the Queen would have played when she was a child.”
Layla Megyesi, 7, of Year 2, said: “I enjoyed it because we got to play with children from different classes.
“I think the Queen is very good.”
Ms Harris said the children or Years 1 and 2 particularly enjoyed being able to enjoy the celebrations all together on the day.
