Thousands of classic car and bike enthusiasts flocked to an annual charity rally.
Around 500 classic cars and bikes were on show from every era at the ever popular Classic Car and Bike Show held once again at Renishaw Hall, on June 12.
Over 2,500 visitors came from all over the region to the event which is organised by Chesterfield Rotary Club and raises thousands of pounds for three local charities :- Weston Park Cancer Charity, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice and Chesterfield’s Ashgate Hospice.
The event raised £6,000.
The classic car winner, voted for by the exhibitors, was Colin Payne, of Mansfield Woodhouse, with his superb 1963 2.2 litre TR4.
Congratulations also to the classic bike winner Alan Wood of Mastin Moor, with his tidy 650cc BSA Rocket Goldstar – his first ever win.
Main organiser Stuart Bradley said: “Renishaw Hall is the perfect venue for this charitable event which has raised a total of £28,000 over the past seven years.”
Musical entertainment was on offer from Direction Theatre Arts, as well as stalls and amusements.
A charity classic car and bike show is being held in Ashover next month.
