A rather famous set of characters were spotted dashing between the yew hedges and around the fountains of the gardens at Renishaw Hall to celebrate Easter.

Alice and her Wonderland friends - the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the White Rabbit – created an afternoon filled with fun and madness - and they didn’t even turn up late!

There were fantastical sights - including the Mad Hatter’s tea party and the Queen of Heart’s throne - dotted around Renishaw Hall’s gardens, courtesy of East Midlands’ entertainment company Fancy Entertainment.

The group performed at slots during the afternoon of Easter Monday.

Renishaw Hall & Gardens are now open for the 2015 season with the gardens open weekly from Wednesday to Sunday, and Bank Holiday Mondays, until the end of September.

Public hall tours are available on Fridays throughout the season and at weekends in August.
