DRONFIELD WOODHOUSE: Supporters of Miners Arms Charity Circle raise £4,000

Have your say

Organisers of The Miners Arms Charity Circle, would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has so far helped raise over £4000 this year.

The three charities being supported by the group this year are the Dronfield 1st Responders, Edale Mountain Rescue and When You Wish upon a Star.

Charity funds are boosted via quiz and raffles every Sunday evening at the Miners Arms, Carr Lane, Dronfield Woodhouse, from 9.40pm onwards.

Sales from 30 brands of malt whiskeys also goes straight into the Miners Arms Charity Circle fundraising pot. All the whiskeys are £2.50 per 25ml.

The charity group is always on the lookout for gifts for their raffles. If anyone has any items they would like to donate as raffle prizes and later on in the year for the big auction, they can be handed in or collected if necessary at the Miners Arms.

Mark Bingham, landlord, said: “It’s really great having the charity quiz and auction nights here, it’s a great feeling to raise funds for the local charities.”
