The Rotary Club of Drone Valley is now well into its 2013 programme of meetings, fund raising projects and social events.

The club is part of the international Rotary organisation where men and women meet together each week to network, enjoy fellowship and use their time and skills to benefit people and communities at home and overseas.

This year the club is continuing its support for the DARE campaign and organising the Junior Community award in local junior schools for the seventh year in a row. It also continues to raise funds to support the Polio Eradication project and buy shelterboxes to be held in stock ready to be sent out next time there is a disaster somewhere in the world.

Social and fundraising events in the pipeline include a Sixties night, jazz lunch and a wine tasting evening to be held later in the year.

Help, new ideas and support are always needed with projects and events.

The club meets every Monday evening at the Sandpiper Hotel, Sheepbridge. Further information can be found on the club website: www.dronevalleyrotary.org.uk
