Driver taken to hospital after '˜nasty' Chesterfield car crash

The incident happened outside the Tesco Express on High Street in Old Whittington shortly before 3pm.

The driver of one of the cars has been taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police have closed the road in both directions to clear debris and a fuel spill.

An eyewitness described the incident as ‘nasty’, saying that there ‘wasn’t much left’ of the cars where they had hit each other.
