Drink driver disqualified after caught out by cops

A 27–year–old man has faced magistrates after drink driving.

William Haworth, of Osborne Way, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to driving while over the limit when he appeared in High Peak Magistrates’ Court.

He was stopped by officers at Mytham Bridge, Bamford, at 10.30pm on March 9. Haworth had 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit is 35. He was disqualified for 18 months and fined £350. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs, a £35 victim surcharge.
