Alex will join a carnival procession of fancy dress walkers, vehicles, bands, floats and visiting Queens which will depart Dale Road at 1pm on August 23, en-route to the community centre.

The A6 through the village will be closed for around 20 minutes to allow the parade to pass.

A fete will be held at the community centre until 4.30pm, featuring various attractions, stalls, a car boot sale, dog show, football-themed scarecrow competition and court of queens, with the entertainment continuing at the Queens Hotel afterwards.

Anyone wishing to enter into the parade or help out on the day should contact Sally on 07710 552 827.
