Distinctive jewellery seized by cops

DETECTIVES in Chesterfield are appealing for information about a large amount of jewellery and other valuable items they have recovered.

Officers seized hundreds of pieces of jewellery from premises in north Derbyshire following an operation – some of which has inscriptions or is quite distinctive.

Police are appealing to anyone who has had any recognisable items of jewellery or silverware stolen in the past year to contact them.

Of the items that may be recognisable are a set of gold dog tags on a chain with the names Mick and Linda and the date 5.7.86 on one and Jodie and Lucy 18.2.94 on the other.

There are also a number of lockets with pictures inside them and several gold wedding bands with inscriptions of names and dates.

Among the recovered items are a number of distinctive silver goblets, chalices and teapots. To see some of the jewellery, click on the link in the right-hand panel.
