Did robbery victim bang on your car window?

Police are appealing to shoppers who might have witnessed a woman running away from a robber.

Detectives are investigating a robbery at Tesco in Heanor in which a man threatened the victim with a jagged metal can.

The 28-year-old victim ran off into the Tesco supermarket car park and banged on the window of a car that was driving out, asking for help.

She then ran into the store and was helped by staff.

The robbery happened at about 11pm on February 4.
