Derbyshire: World War Two theme at annual Hope Valley show

Something for all the family will be on offer next week at the annual Hope Show.

The historic agricultural show, which raises money for local charities and societies, is set to take place on Bank Holiday Monday.

This year’s show will have a World War Two theme and commemorate the D-Day campaign, which happened 70 years ago.

As part of the World War Two-theme, the show will this year feature an 18-tonne D-8 tractor which was used during the conflict.

Also on offer at the event will be sheepdog trials, a cattle and sheep parade, vintage tractors, classic cars and a range of stalls and children’s attractions.

Gates will open at Hope Showground at 8am.

The Grand Parade will begin at 3pm.
