Derbyshire woman launches campaign to make assisted dying legal

A Derbyshire woman is campaigning for assisted dying to be legalised - following the deaths of her mother and husband.

Former teacher Alva de Chiro, 79, of Chesterfield, wants terminally ill people to be allowed to 'die with dignity'. She has set up a Derbyshire campaign group which will meet for the first time at Chesterfield Market Hall at 6pm on Tuesday.
