Derbyshire properties could be at risk of flooding over a 36-hour period this weekend, weather experts have warned.
The Met Office has issued a yellow ‘be aware’ alert of rain in Derbyshire between noon on Saturday and 11.55pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Government organisation said: “Outbreaks of rain are expected on Saturday and Sunday. The heaviest and most persistant rainfall is likely to occur over high ground and will be accompanied by strong winds.
“Please be aware of the potential for low-level disruption due to difficult driving conditions and localised flooding of property.
“The public is advised to take extra care.”
