TEENAGE musician Dan Ball struck the right note to lift the champion’s crown in an annual competition.
The 15-year-old Ripley schoolboy scored £300 after winning the final of Amber Valley’s Got Talent.
Dan impressed the judges with his singing and guitar playing.
The final at Mill Hill School, where Dan is a pupil, raised more than £2,000 for the Derbsyhire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
Runners-up prize went to the duo Better Days Ahead, comprising vocalist Paige Seabridge and guitarist Jake Matthew, and third prize went to the Ripley band I Surrender, composed of Ben Rose (vocals/guitar), Adam Rose (bass guitar), Nathan Biggs (lead guitar) and Bradley Smith (drums).
The competition was run by the Rotary Club of Ripley.
