A DAD has been jailed again following assaults on his partner in a taxi and a pub.
Darrel Bray and Danielle Jackson were drinking at a friend’s home on June 3 before getting a cab, Chesterfield magistrates heard.
A row blew up during the journey and he slapped her across the face before going to a friend’s flat in Newbold to borrow the fare.
Trouble erupted again 12 days later after the couple argued in a pub, said Laura Dyke, prosecuting.
“She wanted to continue drinking and he wanted her to leave. A bouncer saw him leave and then come back in and continue arguing and he slapped her arm,” said Ms Dyke, adding that the victim wanted to resume the relationship.
Bray, of St Augustines Drive, admitted both assaults. He had previous convictions for violence and was jailed in April. He was jailed for 12 weeks.
Annette Thomas, for Bray, said of Ms Jackson “She just wants him to get help with his drinking and anger management. They have a two-year-old child together and want to be a family,” said Mrs Thomas.
