Riders are being invited to enter online or by post from this week with early-bird discount entry fees of £20 per rider available until April 26 with £22 entry fees afterwards.

Entry proceeds, sponsor money pledges and raffle ticket sales hope to raise thousands of pounds to go towards Chesterfield-based Ashgate Hospicecare’s running costs.

Hospice spokesman Charlotte Gratton said: “Wonderful events like this with fundraising cyclists are essential to help the hospice reach its £4.3m annual running costs target.”

The annual JE James and DT Flagg Cycle Challenge hopes to attract up to 200 riders and once again raise thousands of pounds for the Chesterfield-based hospice.

Our 2015 event will set off from the hospice from 9am, on Sunday, July 26, with breathtaking views including Chatsworth House and testing climbs through Sheldon, Birchover and Stanton-in-the-Peak.

Entrants will receive sponsor forms, fundraising and training tips and maps. Entry can be made via http://www.ashgatehospicecare.org.uk/events/flaggchallenge/ or via the events page at www.ashgatehospicecare.org.uk.
