Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is organising a Wildlife on Wheels cycling safari around Carsington Water to discover some the reservoir’s inhabitants.
A leisurely ride around the undulating circuit will give cyclists the chance to find out how otters are being protected and water voles encouraged to live here.
Riders wil be able to enjoy views of the reservoir, explore its shoreline for birds and the adjacent meadows for wildflowers and butterflies.
Wildlife on Wheels takes place on Sunday 29th May from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Participants will need to provide their own bikes.
The cost for the safari is £6 for adults and £3.50 for children, with a maximum of three children to each adult – older children only.
To book in advance, as numbers are limited, contact Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on 01773 881188.
