FUN-SEEKING crowds are celebrating life on one of the best-known roads in Chesterfield.
Residents and businesses have been enjoying a jam-packed programme of entertainment and activities as part of the Chatsworth Road Festival.
The attraction boasts a number of events organised by local businesses, groups and institutions with highlights including poetry from Matt Black, the new Derbyshire Poet Laureate, a food festival, a beer festival, live music and exhibitions.
Deirdre Gage, who chairs the festival, which started on Saturday, said: “Thousands of people have been milling around so far.
“Everyone’s having a really good time, creating a lovely feeling on this fantastic stretch of road.
“We’ve been delighted with the absolutely stunning weather too,” she added.
The attraction ends this Sunday with a pub quiz all about Brampton.
The challenge, organised by the Brampton Living History Group, will take place at the Britannia Inn from 8pm.
