YOUR NEWS: Stillborn baby’s grave burned in Staveley

On the October 10, 2013 a mother’s worst nightmare became a horrible reality for Rebecca Gilling when her daughter was stillborn.

But it is recent events that will leave you feeling angry and disappointed in our society today.

When the 20-year-old went to visit her daughter’s resting place at Staveley Cemetery she was horrified to discover that someone had set alight to the fencing that surrounds her baby’s grave, also catching a few toys. The devastated mother dropped to the floor in tears before leaving and having to ask a family member to tidy up the grave, as she couldn't bare to look at it.

The incident took place between Sunday June 22 and June 24. As yet no one has came forward with any information.
