Woman robbed at knifepoint while out walking her dog

Detectives are appealing for information after a woman was robbed as she walked her dog in Chesterfield.

At about 11am last Thursday, a 51-year-old woman was walking with her dog on Union Walk when two men walked towards her.

One of the men pushed the victim against a wall and demanded money. The offender was holding a knife.

The victim handed over cash and the men ran off.

The man who carried out the robbery is described as white, 5ft 7in tall, in his 20s, of medium build, with short mousey hair. He was wearing a navy hooded top and spoke with a local accent.

The second offender is described as being similar in appearance and was wearing a black jacket.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Chesterfield CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
