Vandals damage community centre at Birdholme in Chesterfield

Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to Hunloke Adult Education Community Centre.

Offenders threw objects onto the building’s roof making a hole in the top and causing damage to new roof tiles.

No attempt was made to gain entry to the building on Church Street South in Birdholme.

The incident happened between Thursday, March 19, at 9.30pm and Friday, March 20, at 6.45am.

PCSO Zoe Blount from the Holmebrook and Rother Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We’re encouraging anyone with any information to get in touch by calling us on 101 quoting crime reference 11514/15.”
