A vandal who scratched a woman’s car after a row at her home has been given a 12 month community order.
Chesterfield magistrates’ court heard on July 28, how Jay Frisby, 22, of North Wingfield Road, Grassmoor, had been turned away with abuse before he damaged the car.
Prosecuting solicitor Ian Shaw said the complainant shouted at him and as she looked out of a window she saw him near her vehicle and found it had been scratched.
Mr Shaw added: “She found a scratch on the front passenger door which has been estimated at about £150 to repair.”
Frisby pleaded guilty to damaging the vehicle after the incident on March 1. Matt Evans, defending, said Frisby is sorry and embarrassed and he made a silly decision.
Magistrates also ordered Frisby to complete a thinking skills programme, supervision and 40 hours’ unpaid work. He must also pay £150 compensation.
