Police urge Derbyshire firms to be vigilant after man confuses cashiers and makes off with extra change

Police are urging businesses to be vigilant after a man confused a cashier and makde off with extra change.

On Tuesday, October 7 at 1.30pm, a man entered Somercotes Office Furniture, in Nottingham Road, Somercotes, and bought an item for £2.99.

He engaged in conversation with the cashier and confused her which resulted in him receiving more change than he was due.

The man, who had a moustache, was described as white, of medium build and in his 20s.

He was wearing a red baseball cap, a white sweater with thin, blue horizontal stripes and navy blue trousers.
