Police hunt vandals after Hathersage house is attacked

Police investigating damage to a property in Hathersage are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

At around 9.45pm on Monday, March 23, three men caused damage to a property on Baulk Lane, in Hathersage, by using tools to smash the window and damage the door.

The homeowner was disturbed by the noise and alerted police.

One of the offenders was described as Asian, of stocky, muscular build with short dark hair.

He was believed to have been wearing a dark coloured hooded top.

The other two men are believed to be white.

All three offenders were seen to run from the property in the direction of Main Road, Hathersage and are believed to have been carrying a crowbar like tool.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen the men acting suspiciously in the area, or in the direction of Main Road to contact them.
