Police are appealing for information after items were stolen from two barns in Monyash.

The incident occurred between 5pm on January 20 and 12 noon on January 21 when thieves climbed over a gate to access farm land along Horse Lane.

They then used bolt croppers to cut the padlocks from two barn doors before making off with items including a red and silver coloured plant generator, a battery pack and a tool box. Property inside the barns was also damaged.

Officers from the area’s Safer Neighbourhood team are appealing for information and encouraging residents, particularly those in the more rural locations, to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious vehicles or activity to police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PCSO Ian Phipps on 101, quoting crime number 2997/16, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
