Police appeal after attempted theft from fruit machine in Glossop

Police are appealing for information following the attempted theft from a fruit machine at a pub in Glossop.

At around 4.45pm on Monday, November 10, two men were disturbed attempting to remove the money drawer from a fruit machine in the Norfolk Arms Hotel on Norfolk Square, Glossop.

The men had removed an empty cash drawer from the machine using what is believed to have been a standard key, however were disturbed by staff at the pub before they could remove the second cash drawer. No money was taken.

The offenders then ran out of a side door or the pub on to Norfolk Street.

Both men were described as white, around 20-years-old and of skinny build.

The first man was tall with short dark hair and was seen to be wearing black coloured clothing with a ‘Converse’ logo on the front of his top.

The second man had short ginger/blonde coloured hair and wore grey coloured clothing.
