A QUAD bike and an off-road motorbike have been seized by police in Chesterfield with the help of local residents.
Officers from the Barrow Hill and Whittington Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) came across nuisance riders during routine patrols on Friday, October 7.
Residents in the area helped police to locate the off-road bike, which had been abandoned in a garden on Woodford Way, Barrow Hill.
While police were awaiting recovery of the off-road motorbike they discovered a quad bike nearby which was also confiscated.
PCSO Sheila Rooksby, of the Barrow Hill and Whittington SNT, said: “We have had a number of reports about off-road bikes in the area in recent weeks.
“We hope this serves as a warning to those using bikes to cause nuisance that we will use our powers to confiscate them.
“We would urge members of the community to report any illegal bikes in the area.”
